How can we help refugee teenagers to integrate better into society? The short answer is you can't because instead of integration we should be talking about inclusion. They can include the same aspects but the solutions and values are different.
Although the focus from the start was on teenagers, me and three of my fellow students found that we should focus on teachers instead. At the end of the day, the language barrier is one of the biggest blockers and school is where most refugees spend the most time and get to learn the local language.
All of that means that the teachers need to be a lot more than just professionals giving away knowledge in their specific field. Where to get this additional info if not from other teachers.
